Rewarding Community Service and Professional Development Opportunities
If you are looking for an opportunity to receive valuable professional training and life experience, build new friendships and serve your community, then we invite you to volunteer to serve in one of Culpeper County’s eight fire and rescue companies.
Whether you are interested in Firefighting, EMS, Support or any combination thereof, we offer many opportunities for professional training, fulfilling career development and personal growth. Our fire and rescue companies are always in need of capable people who are able and willing to dedicate their time and energy towards community service.
A conservative estimate of the current replacement value of volunteer assets alone would be $27 million dollars ($11.6 million in equipment and $16 million in structures). To replace our fire and rescue volunteers and support members with a paid staff that could serve Culpeper County would cost Culpeper County taxpayers an additional $15-$20 million annually.
We appreciate and honor our volunteers every chance we get. Culpeper County provides our fire and rescue volunteers with:
- Personal protective gear
- Workers compensation coverage
Many Culpeper County Volunteer Fire and Rescue companies have Junior programs that provide rewarding community service and professional development opportunities for teenagers.
We hope that you will accept the challenge and join our team of dedicated volunteers!
